The Critical Consumer Issues Forum (CCIF) is pleased to highlight its latest report, Demand Growth & Risk Management: Investing in Energy Infrastructure to Meet Customer Needs, which was released on July 27, 2025, during an event collocated with the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) 2025 Summer Policy Summit in Boston.  CCIF partnered with six NARUC Staff Subcommittees on a program that highlighted the 13 consensus principles developed by participants from the “three core groups”–state commissions, consumer advocate offices, and electric companies.  Thanks to all who participated in the series of events on this important and timely topic!

For 15 years, CCIF has driven collaboration by bringing together representatives from state commission members of NARUC, members of the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates (NASUCA), and member electric companies of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). CCIF was formed to provide an opportunity for the three core groups to collectively tackle tough consumer issues through unique, highly interactive discourse and debate, to find consensus when possible, and at a minimum, to achieve a clearer understanding of–and appreciation for–each group’s specific concerns and positions.  For more information about CCIF, including our leadership and our signature process, please see the About Us page.
